Fiona is able to offer a range of workshop programmes to suit schools, community groups, students and companies.

An introduction to design can be delivered as half-day, one day or a series of workshops exploring scale, model-making, storyboarding and research.

These workshops have been delivered as a guest lecturer at University of Kent, Brunel University, University Centre, Folkestone and during the residency of Collaborators:Design for Performance at the V&A.

Design dramaturgy
Specifically tailored towards companies looking to work with a designer/scenographer for the first time, this workshop explores visual storytelling through the use of objects and the configuration of space. Designed to develop the visual language of the piece, the process can culminate in the drawing together of a design brief. This has included work with Futures Theatre Company, Accidental Collective and script development with individual writers.

Consultation
These workshops use the scenographic process to consider wider themes of engagement with the built environment, regeneration and ownership of space.

Drawing out creative thinking among community participants, this has included work for Freeform Arts Trust, Chatham World Heritage Partnership, Medway Renaissance Regeneration Ambassadors Programme and Journey to Learn (Kent Architecture Centre and CABE).
